A 47-year-old man died Sunday evening after the golf cart he was driving crashed on a private road in Hollister, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol reported that the crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Tall Timbers Way in Taney County. A 2026 Club Car Onward was traveling northbound at the time of the crash, the agency said.
The driver, a 47-year-old man from Lisbon, Iowa, sustained fatal injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary crash report. Three other occupants were also hurt in the crash. A 39-year-old woman from Lisbon, Iowa, suffered serious injuries, while a 20-year-old man, also from Lisbon, sustained moderate injuries. A juvenile occupant sustained minor injuries. All three surviving occupants were transported for medical treatment, the patrol said.
