A crash on southbound Interstate 55 near mile marker 133 in Perry County left one man dead and another seriously injured, according to a preliminary online crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol reported that the crash occurred at 10:33 p.m. on July 10, 2026, and involved a 2025 Volvo VNL and a 2011 Nissan Murano, both traveling southbound at the time.
A 63-year-old man from St. Louis sustained serious injuries in the collision, the patrol said. A 65-year-old man, also from St. Louis, suffered fatal injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the report.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C is investigating the crash. The incident has been assigned crash report ID 260290352.
