A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries early Friday in a single-vehicle crash on Old 40 Highway in Lafayette County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 1:44 a.m. just west of Main Street, the Patrol's online crash report states. A 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling westbound at the time of the incident.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the Patrol. No other vehicles were reported involved, and no fatalities resulted from the crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop A is investigating the incident, which is documented under crash report number 260448866.
