Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Thursday on Interstate 70 Eastbound in Lafayette County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 5:24 a.m. at mile marker 39.0 and involved a 2017 International truck and a 2010 Ford Escape, both traveling eastbound at the time, the Highway Patrol's online crash report states.

All three occupants involved were transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. A 20-year-old man from Odessa, Missouri, sustained minor injuries. A 39-year-old man from Lake Wales, Florida, who was driving one of the vehicles, suffered serious injuries. A 66-year-old woman from Odessa, Missouri, also a driver, sustained minor injuries.
