A 63-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a deer on Route C in Audrain County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The crash happened just after 2:15 p.m. as the operator was traveling northbound on Route C near Mexico, Missouri, the Highway Patrol reported. A deer entered the roadway, and the motorcycle struck the animal, according to the crash report.
The motorcycle operator was the only person involved in the single-vehicle crash. KMIZ reported that the operator was left in serious condition following the collision.
No other vehicles were reported to be involved, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation into the crash.
