A two-vehicle crash on US 54 north of Laddonia left one driver dead and another seriously injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. on October 7, about two miles north of Laddonia in Audrain County, the patrol said in an online crash report. A 2017 Ford Escape was traveling south when it collided with a 2024 Kia Telluride heading north, authorities reported.

The driver of the Kia Telluride, a 51-year-old man from Sullivan, Missouri, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Highway Patrol. The driver of the Ford Escape, a 43-year-old woman from Vandalia, Missouri, suffered serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the patrol said.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F is investigating the crash, which remains under review. No additional details about the circumstances leading up to the collision have been released.
