A 32-year-old Middletown man suffered serious injuries Friday night after the motorcycle he was riding left the roadway on Highway 161 near Highway A, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash happened around 9 p.m., the Patrol said. The man was operating a 2018 Yamaha YZF-R3 motorcycle when it flipped off the right side of the road, according to the crash report.

The operator was the only person involved in the single-vehicle crash and sustained serious injuries, the Patrol reported. No fatalities were reported in connection with the incident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is the investigating agency for the crash, which occurred in Montgomery County.
