A 36-year-old woman from Imperial was injured Thursday morning when her SUV collided with a dump truck on southbound US 61, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash, identified as incident 260263542, was reported at 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of southbound US 61 and Imperial Main Street, within Troop C's jurisdiction, patrol records show.
According to the Highway Patrol's preliminary report, a 2014 Toyota RAV4 and a 2006 Sterling dump truck were both traveling southbound on US 61 at the time of the collision. The driver of the RAV4, the 36-year-old Imperial woman, sustained moderate injuries in the crash, the patrol said.
She was transported to a medical facility for treatment, authorities reported. No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash, and it remains unclear how many people were in the dump truck at the time.
