A truck driver was injured after a single-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 55 south of Imperial's Main Street, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary online crash report.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. on August 20, 2026, the Patrol reported. A 2019 Volvo VNL was traveling northbound on I-55 when the vehicle was involved in the crash, according to the Patrol's report.

The driver, a 55-year-old man from Mission, Texas, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said. No other vehicles were reported involved in the crash.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C responded to and is investigating the incident under case number 260352831.
