A 52-year-old woman from California, Missouri, was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on US 50 at Route H in Moniteau County, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred on July 7, 2026, at approximately 8:55 p.m.

According to the Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser and a 2026 Peterbilt 579 were both traveling west on US 50 when the two vehicles collided. The woman driving the PT Cruiser sustained serious injuries in the crash, the report states.

The injured driver was transported to a medical facility for treatment, per the Highway Patrol's report. Troop F of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene and is handling the investigation.
