A 51-year-old man suffered moderate injuries Friday afternoon when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway on MO 87 in Moniteau County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at approximately 3:47 p.m. about 1,203 feet north of Greenwood Drive, the Patrol's online crash report states. The driver was traveling northbound in a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle when the single-vehicle wreck occurred.

According to the Patrol, the driver was transported to a medical facility for treatment of his injuries. No other vehicles or occupants were reported to be involved.
