Woman seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in NE Austin (Austin, TX)

A woman received serious injuries after getting hit by a vehicle late Wednesday night in northeast Austin.

As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to 7101 North IH 35 Service Road northbound — across from St. Johns Street at about 9:58 p.m. on reports of an auto-pedestrian crash. The female pedestrian was declared a trauma alert and rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. It is also unknown if the driver involved stayed at the scene or not after the accident. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
