A 50-year-old Brookfield woman died in a three-vehicle crash on US Highway 36 about one mile east of Macon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol said the crash happened the morning of Sept. 11, 2026, and involved a northbound 2019 Freightliner Cascadia truck tractor, an eastbound 2017 Jeep Wrangler and an eastbound 2019 Chevrolet Express van.
The Brookfield woman, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol reported.
A 68-year-old man from Franklin, Ohio, sustained serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the patrol's crash report. A juvenile occupant suffered minor injuries and was also taken for treatment.
The crash falls under the jurisdiction of Troop B, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, listed in its records as crash number 260387838.
