Woman killed after an auto-pedestrian crash in Scottsdale (Scottsdale, AZ)

On Tuesday night, a woman lost her life after being hit by a vehicle in Scottsdale.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place at about 7 p.m. near Via Linda and Mountain View Road. The early reports showed that a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for reasons that are yet to be known. According to the officials, the female driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Speed and impairment were not involved in the crash.  At this time, it is unknown if the woman died at the scene or after being taken to the hospital. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under review.
