Woman killed after a vehicle slams into a tree in Avery (Avery, CA)

On early Tuesday morning, a woman lost her life following a single-vehicle accident in Avery.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at about 1:10 a.m. on Highway 4 and Horseshoe Drive. The early reports showed that a 2017 Ford Expedition drifted off the roadway and crashed into a tree before flipping over.

The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old woman, suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
