Woman injured after being hit by a vehicle in Arcata (Arcata, CA)

On Tuesday, a woman suffered injuries after getting struck by a vehicle in Arcata.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place a little before 1 p.m. on G Street. The early reports showed that a woman was walking near G Street but not in a marked crosswalk when she got hit by the vehicle.

On arrival, emergency crews transported the pedestrian to Mad River Community Hospital with unspecified injuries. Officers stated that she is going to be okay. The identity of the victim has not been revealed. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under investigation.
