On Monday afternoon, a woman suffered critical injuries following a traffic accident in Lithonia.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place near the intersection of Rogers Lake Road and Deshon Road in Lithonia at about 12:56 p.m. The early reports showed that a dump truck and another vehicle were involved in the collision. Reports further added that the woman in the car was pinned underneath the dump truck.
On arrival, emergency crews airlifted the woman to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Officials confirmed a citation to the driver of the dump truck for failing to maintain lane. No other information has been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
