On Sunday, a woman suffered injuries after her car ran into the entrance of Bob’s Barksdale Restaurant in Midtown.
As per the initial information, the three-vehicle wreck took place on Cooper Street at approximately 1:45 p.m. The preliminary reports revealed that the longtime breakfast and lunch spot was still serving customers when a car crashed into the front door backwards.
One person was reportedly sitting in a booth just inches away, but no customers or workers inside received any injuries as a result of the collision. The restaurants’ owner said that a metal pole in front of the entrance prevented the crash from being worse.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a hospital with non-critical injuries. The restaurant was temporarily shut down to repair the entry. Officers reported that three cars were involved in the accident. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under investigation.
