Woman died, child in critical condition after a suspected DUI crash in Lebanon (Lebanon, TN)

A woman lost her life and a child received critical injuries after a suspected DUI crash Monday afternoon in Lebanon.

As per the initial information, the three-vehicle wreck took place in Lebanon. The early reports showed that a vehicle crashed into another vehicle on Greenwood, continued on into the square, and according to the witnesses, the vehicle did not brake as it came through the square. The impact was so strong that the entire back of a car was completely mangled.

The incident claimed the life of a woman and caused injuries to a child. Lebanon police detained the driver of a black SUV, and confirmed that the woman behind the wheel was believed to be driving under the influence. A passenger in this suspect vehicle was also taken into custody for questioning. No other details are available.

The wreck remains under review.
