On Wednesday night, a woman lost her life and two others suffered injuries following a three-vehicle wreck in Madison.
As per the initial information, the head-on crash took place at around 10:00 p.m. on Gallatin Pike North, close to Duling Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that a woman was driving a dark colored sedan south on Gallatin Pike North when her vehicle went over the center line and collided head-on with another car.
A third car then reportedly struck them. The driver of the vehicle that had crossed over the center line was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
