On early Thursday morning, a woman lost her life following a rollover crash on Northeast Side.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place at about 2:15 a.m. in the 1400 block of the Interstate 35 northbound access road, not far from Binz-Engleman Road. The early reports revealed that the woman was traveling at a high rate of speed when she failed to navigate a curve and drifted off the access road.
After that, her vehicle traveled onto a grassy median, went over the access road, and flipped multiple times. The woman suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified.
The area near the access road was shut down as crews worked at the scene, but has since reopened. Multiple agencies responded to the crash scene. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
