Woman dead after a hit-and-run accident along Loop 375 in Lower Valley (El Paso, TX)

On Tuesday evening, a woman lost her life after being hit by a truck along Loop 375 (Cesar Chavez Highway) in the Lower Valley. The vehicle that struck the woman left the scene.

As of 8 p.m., police confirmed that they had located the vehicle involved in the fatal Loop 375 hit-and-run incident. However, it is unclear whether the driver of that vehicle was arrested or not. El Paso police called traffic investigators to the crash scene at 375 east and the Midway ramp just before 6 p.m.

Authorities said that the fatality was the result of a hit-and-run incident. Officials initial said that that they would provide a description of the vehicle later Tuesday evening. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
