A 63-year-old man from Weatherford, Oklahoma, sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash south of Shell Knob, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 3:00 p.m. on July 3, 2026, on Kings River Road near the 27667 block, about five miles south of Shell Knob in Barry County, the patrol's online crash report states.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver was operating a 2010 Ford Raptor traveling west at the time of the crash. No other vehicles were involved, per the report.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the patrol said.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D is investigating the incident, identified in records as crash number 260277771.
