On Monday night, Viviano Perez Ixcoy lost his life after being hit by a train in Hall County.
As per the in initial information, the fatal pedestrian crash took place near Atlanta Highway and Memorial Park Drive. The early reports showed that a train struck a pedestrian. According to the officials, Ixcoy is a Gainesville resident originally from Guatemala.
The roads in the area were closed for some time as crews worked at the scene. No additional information has been released by the authorities.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
