Vehicle smashes into Mark Twain Branch Library in South LA; driver sought (Los Angeles, CA)

A vehicle crashed into the front of Mark Twain Branch Library in South LA.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash was reported just before 2:15 a.m. at the Mark Twain Branch Library located on S. Figueroa Street. The early reports showed that a vehicle ran into the front of a library, backed out and left the scene. According to the responders, considerable damage was done to the front entrance of the library.

Responders found both a side mirror and front bumper that the vehicle had left behind. It is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the accident. The events that have led up to the crash also remain unclear at this time. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under active review.
