Vehicle runs into fire hydrant in Spring Valley; driver sought (Spring Valley, CA)

On Tuesday afternoon, a vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant in a residential area of Spring Valley.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place at about 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue and Lamar Street. The early reports showed that the driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle and slammed into a fire hydrant, sending gallons of water into the streets.

The driver of the involved vehicle drove away from the scene after the collision and remains at large. No one was injured at the scene. No other information has been provided at this time.

The incident remains under active review.
