Vehicle crashes into a power pole, causing power outage in Spring Valley area; driver sought (Las Vegas, NV)

On Sunday, a power pole was knocked down after a vehicle slammed into it in the Spring Valley area that caused a power outage.

The hit-and-run crash took place near Torrey Pines Drive and Oakey Boulevard at about 12:30 a.m. The preliminary investigation indicated that a car struck a power pole, bringing it down. The vehicle left the scene after the collision.

It is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the accident. Roads in the area were blocked overnight as first responders worked to remove the pole and lines from the road. As of 7 a.m., NV Energy had restored power to most people in the area. No further details were provided.

The incident remains under active review.
