Valencia High School student hurt after being hit by a vehicle in Santa Clarita (Santa Clarita, CA)

On Monday afternoon, a Valencia High School student was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Santa Clarita.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 3:00 p.m. on Decoro Drive and Dickason Drive in Santa Clarita. The preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle struck the pedestrian as they attempted to cross the street.

Reports further added that the victim managed to sit up after getting struck. On arrival, medical personnel transported the person to the hospital with minor injuries. The identity of the victim has not been revealed. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation.
