A 36-year-old Union man died Thursday morning after a single-vehicle crash on Missouri Route V in Franklin County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 10:47 a.m. on eastbound MO-V east of Platte Rd, the Patrol's online crash report states. The driver was traveling eastbound in a 2014 Chevrolet Impala when the vehicle was involved in the crash, according to the report.

The man was transported for medical treatment following the crash but did not survive his injuries, the Patrol said. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the incident.

The crash, identified in Patrol records as incident 260298454, falls under the jurisdiction of Troop C. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
