Two women suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Coyote Road and Apricot Road, about a half mile south of Joplin, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The Patrol, whose Troop D covers the area, reported that the crash occurred on July 13, 2026, at 1:50 p.m. and involved a 2011 Jeep Patriot traveling eastbound and a 2021 Toyota Avalon traveling southbound.

A 55-year-old woman from Joplin, Missouri, was behind the wheel of one vehicle, while an 83-year-old woman from Afton, Oklahoma, was driving the other, the Patrol said. Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported for medical treatment, according to the preliminary crash report.

The crash, logged under incident number 260294016, remains under review by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. No fatalities were reported in connection with the collision.
