Two women were hurt Saturday afternoon when their vehicles collided on RT D just east of Webb City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's preliminary crash report.

The crash happened at 4 p.m. on June 27 involving a 2006 Toyota Sienna traveling westbound and a 2008 Ford Edge traveling northbound, the Patrol said.

A 50-year-old woman from Webb City, identified as a driver in the crash, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the report. A 53-year-old woman from Carl Junction, listed as an occupant, suffered moderate injuries and was also taken for medical care.

Light rain was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.

Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene and is handling the investigation. The incident is logged under report number 260267391.

No fatalities were reported in the crash.
