Two women were injured in a two-vehicle crash on MO 96 at Old 66 Boulevard, at the Carthage city limits, on July 27, 2026, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The crash occurred around 12:40 p.m. and involved a 2023 Kia Sportage traveling west and a 2003 Nissan Altima traveling east, the patrol said.

A 68-year-old female occupant and a 96-year-old female driver each sustained moderate injuries in the collision, according to the Highway Patrol. Both were transported for medical treatment following the crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, operating under Troop D jurisdiction, is investigating the incident, which has been logged under crash report number 260316625.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.
