Two women hospitalized after a multi-vehicle pile-up in Glendale (Glendale, AZ)

Two women were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday night in Glendale, including a rear-end collision.

Glendale police actively responded to the area near 47th Avenue and Camelback Road Just before 7:30 p.m. on reports of a five-vehicle pile-up. One woman was rushed to the hospital in serious condition while a second woman was also transported to the hospital as a precaution.

Five vehicles were damaged as a result of the accident. A white truck had a bent hood and the rear bumper of a white SUV was also damaged following the crash. Impairment is not suspected to be involved in the wreck. The roadway from 47th to 51st Avenues on Camelback will be blocked for several hours while crews work at the scene.

The incident remains under active review.
