A crash involving two northbound vehicles on US 61 about six miles north of New Madrid left one driver with minor injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol's online crash report states the collision occurred the afternoon of July 15, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m. in New Madrid County, within Troop E's jurisdiction. Investigators said a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2019 Ford F550 were both traveling northbound on US 61 at the time of the crash.

A 21-year-old woman from West Memphis, Arkansas, sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the patrol reported. No fatalities were reported in connection with the incident.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data, with temperatures near 87 degrees.
