A crash involving two westbound vehicles on Missouri Route CC left one driver with serious injuries Thursday evening, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred around 6:20 p.m. on September 17, 2026, about four miles west of West Plains in Howell County, the Patrol reported. Troop G investigated the crash, which involved a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 and a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado, both traveling in the same direction on Route CC.

According to the Patrol's report, the driver of the S-10, a 67-year-old man from West Plains, was not injured but was transported for medical evaluation. The driver of the Colorado, an 80-year-old woman from Gainesville, sustained serious injuries and was also taken for medical treatment.

Weather data for the area at the time of the crash indicated light drizzle was falling, with a temperature near 88 degrees.
