A crash involving two vehicles on Interstate 70 Eastbound in Lafayette County left one driver seriously injured, according to a preliminary online crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at Mile Marker 48.2 at approximately 10:43 p.m. on July 12, 2026, the Patrol reported. A 2025 Toyota Tacoma and a 2021 Subaru Forester, both traveling eastbound, were involved in the crash.

One driver, a 68-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, sustained serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said. No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.

Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene and is handling the investigation.
