A crash involving two vehicles on northbound Interstate 470 sent one driver to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at mile marker 12 in Jackson County on the evening of Sept. 16, 2026, at approximately 9:40 p.m., the Patrol's online crash report states. Both vehicles involved — a Ford Taurus and a 2027 International — were traveling northbound at the time, according to the report.

The injured occupant was identified as a 22-year-old male driver from Independence, Missouri. He sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported.
