A crash involving two vehicles on Interstate 44 near Sarcoxie left one driver with minor injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The Patrol said the crash occurred at 7:37 p.m. on July 16, 2026, near mile marker 24.8 on eastbound I-44, about two miles west of Sarcoxie in Jasper County.

According to the Patrol's online crash report, a 2018 Hyundai Tucson and a 2016 Nissan Maxima were both traveling eastbound when the collision occurred. A 27-year-old male driver from Ramona, California, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the report states.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.

Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated the crash.
