A crash involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck on Missouri Highway 77 near Chaffee left one driver with minor injuries, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop E.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. on August 11, 2026, at the intersection of Highway 77 and County Road 252, about two miles south of Chaffee, the Patrol reported.

According to the Patrol, a 2024 Kenworth W900L and a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado were both traveling northbound at the time of the collision. Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.

An 81-year-old male driver from Brodnax, Virginia, sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said. No other injuries were reported, and no fatalities resulted from the incident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. This report will be updated as additional details become available from investigators.
