A crash involving two vehicles on US 60 near Essex left one driver with moderate injuries Saturday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol reported that the collision, logged as incident 260379274, occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. on US 60 about a half mile north of Essex in Stoddard County. The crash falls under the jurisdiction of Troop E.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling southbound at the time it collided with a 2023 Dodge Charger heading eastbound. A 52-year-old man from Dexter, MO, who was driving one of the vehicles, sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the patrol said.
