Report

A crash between two commercial trucks on westbound Interstate 44 left one driver with minor injuries on Aug. 22, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report. The collision happened about five miles west of Springfield at approximately 2:05 p.m.

The patrol said a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia and a 2021 International Tractor were both traveling westbound when the crash occurred. The driver of one vehicle, a 33-year-old man from Odessa, Texas, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, authorities said.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop D has jurisdiction over the crash site and is handling the investigation. The incident has been logged under report number 260356052.
