Two tractor-trailers collided on northbound I-29 near mile marker 100.2, about a mile north of Corning, leaving both drivers injured, according to a preliminary crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H.
The crash happened at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2026, in Atchison County, the Patrol reported. Both trucks — a 2020 Volvo tractor-trailer and a 2026 Freightliner tractor-trailer — were traveling northbound at the time, according to the report.
A 50-year-old woman from Galloway, Ohio, who was driving one of the trucks, suffered serious injuries and was taken for medical treatment, the Patrol said. The driver of the other truck, a 64-year-old man from Laplace, Louisiana, sustained moderate injuries and was also transported for treatment.
No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash, according to the Patrol. The incident is documented under report number 260328566, filed by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H.
