A two-vehicle crash west of Carthage left two people with serious injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. on June 26, 2026, on Jackpine Road about one mile west of Carthage, the Patrol's preliminary online crash report states. Investigators say a 2010 Ford F150 traveling south collided with a 1993 GMC Sierra traveling west.

A juvenile driver sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. A 60-year-old male occupant from Joplin also suffered serious injuries and was taken for treatment, according to the same report.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.
