Two young men from Salem were injured when the car they were riding in crashed on Highway 32 near County Road 5020 in Dent County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on July 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., the Patrol's preliminary online crash report states. A 1998 Ford Contour was traveling westbound on Highway 32 at the time of the incident, according to the report.

The 18-year-old driver, a male from Salem, sustained minor injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said. A 19-year-old male occupant, also from Salem, suffered moderate injuries and was likewise taken for medical care, according to the report.

The crash falls under the jurisdiction of Troop I, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation under incident number 260319994.
