Two people received major injuries after their vehicles crashed Monday in the Tierrasanta area.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place just before 11 a.m. in the area of Santo Road and Tierrasanta Boulevard, which is east of Interstate 15 and south of state Route 52. As a result of the wreck, debris was scattered onto the street and left at least one of the vehicles with significant damage to its front end, windshield and both the driver’s side and passenger’s side doors.
That vehicle was loaded up onto a tow truck with the remains of its airbag hanging out of its driver’s side window. Both the victims had major injuries and were rushed to an area hospital with one considered a critical trauma case. No other details are available.
The crash remains under review.
