Two people lost their lives following a wrong-way accident on U.S. 90 in the early hours of Christmas morning.
As per the initial information, the fatal head-on collision happened at around 4 a.m. near the Crosby area. The preliminary reports showed that a Dodge Charger was heading southbound in the northbound lanes on U.S. 90 when it collided with a Toyota Tacoma head-on. The driver of the Toyota Tacoma, that was traveling the right way, was identified as a 45-year-old male.
He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The two passengers in the Dodge Charger which was heading the wrong way were identified as a 58-year-old man and his passenger was identified as a juvenile. They were both declared dead at the scene. No other details were provided.
The incident remains under review.
