Two people received injuries after a traffic collision Sunday night in Santa Clarita.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place at about 11:09 p.m. on the Southbound 14 Freeway just north of the I-5 Freeway in the Newhall community of the city of Santa Clarita. The preliminary reports showed that a gray Toyota Yaris crashed into the center median and swerved off to the right shoulder of the 14 Freeway with major front end damage.
On arrival, first responders treated both the driver and passenger for their injuries and later took the victims by AMR Ambulance to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The female passenger was seen inside the trunk of the vehicle being treated by paramedics before being hospitalized. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
