Two people injured after a DUI crash on Highway 99 in Lynnwood (Lynnwood, WA)

Two people received injuries following a DUI crash Wednesday on Highway 99.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place near 200th Street Southwest. Authorities actively responded to the scene after receiving reports that a black Econoline van was being driven erratically. On arrival, they learnt that the Econoline van they were searching for was the same vehicle that hit the back of a pickup truck at a fast speed.

The driver had to be removed from his van by the emergency responders. The driver was then rushed to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries. The pickup truck driver did not receive serious injuries as a result of the accident. Officials believe that the van driver was impaired at the time of the collision. Authorities also located evidence of narcotics inside his van. No other details are available.
