On Saturday night, two men lost their lives after being hit by a car while they were running away on foot following an accident in Nashville.
The preliminary reports showed a Honda Civic collided with a Ford Fusion on I-24 East near I-440 on Saturday night. The reports further revealed that a Chevy SUV struck the owner and a passenger of the Honda Civic when they were running away from the scene on foot across the interstate. Authorities have tentatively identified both the victim as Nashville men, ages 35 and 30.
A third man in the Honda was unharmed in the collision and remained at the scene. The reports also indicated that he smelled of alcohol. The two people in the Chevy did not receive injuries as a result of the accident. Police stated that both people did not show any signs of impairment.
The incident remains under review.
