Two killed in fiery crash on Texas highway (Wichita Falls, TX)

Two people dead after an attempted traffic stop by Wichita County Sheriff Deputy on U.S. 287 South and Jacksboro Hwy Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, at around 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, a Wichita County Sheriff Deputy noticed a vehicle driving unsteadily before failing to stop while going at swift pace east on Jacksboro Highway.

After turning north on East Scott, the vehicle slammed into a tree.

The vehicle erupted in flames after the blow. As a result, pinned female passenger within the vehicle. Authorities declared her dead at the scene.

Medics rushed the male driver to United Regional Health Care via an ambulance. However, he died on arrival.

Texas Department of Public Safety is looking into this accident.

As of now, officials have not revealed names of victims.
